Libby Bortz Assisted Living opened in 1994 and today is a well-known affordable assisted living community serving the Denver metro area. We are located the in historic downtown Littleton area. Our residents and their families can enjoy many of the wonderful events, fine and casual dining and shopping experiences in the area.

Libby Bortz Assisted Living Highlights from our Newsletter:

  • Friday, May 18th – Lunch Outing to the 4 G’s Mexican Restaurant On Friday, at 11:00 a.m.
    If you are interested in going, please sign up at the front desk.
  • Tuesday, May 1st – Baking with Mandy
    Come and join us in baking some homemade chocolate cupcakes. Baking will be held on Tuesday, May 1ST at 2:30 p.m. in the Activities Room.
  • Saturday, May 5th – Cinco de Mayo Social
    We will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo on Friday, May 4th at 2:00 p.m. on the 3rd floor come and join us for some amazing margaritas with chips and salsa.
  • Tuesday, May 8th – Birthday Party- with “Gino”
    Gino will be performing on Tuesday, May 8th at 2:30 p.m. in the dining room. We will have cake and ice cream to celebrate all the May birthdays.
  • Monday, May 14th – Music with Carmen at 2:00PM
  • Happy Mother’s Day on May 12th!
    Our Mother’s Day Tea is on Saturday, May 12th, at 2:30 p.m. in our Main Dining room.
  • Tuesday, May 18th – Music with Jon at 2:00PM
  • Monday, May 28th – Memorial Day Flag Raising Ceremony
    Join us in honoring our veterans Monday, May 28th at 10:00 a.m.

New and Exciting things happening In 2018!
Libby Bortz Assisted Living Expanded Care & Services

Libby Bortz Assisted Living is pleased to announce that expanded care and services are coming soon to Libby Bortz. The expanded care and services will include:

  • Offer enhanced care and services at an additional cost some of which
    include dressing assistance, personal hygiene care (daily grooming),
    incontinence care management, medication management, bathing
    assistance, and escort to and from meals and activities.
  • Have newly renovated apartments.
  • Be in a designated area on the first floor – convenient to dining
    and activities.

Vintage & Vibrant Living Well & Aging Expo
Location: Douglas County Event Center

The Seniors’ Council is pleased to host Vintage & Vibrant, a one-day celebration of aging in Douglas County. Morning keynote speaker is Karen Brown, the Chair of the 2018 Colorado Strategic Action Planning Group on Aging, and Wade Buchanan the Governor’s Senior Advisor on Aging. The Luncheon keynote is Ryan the Robot and her creator Professor Mohammad Mahoor. Ryan was created to assist seniors and those with memory loss remain independent and engaged in the community. Event will offer a variety of additional topics targeted to ensure our communities are a good place to Live Well and Age Well! Cost to register – $5 includes lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments, and all workshops and other activities. Please complete our Registration Form and mail in with a check (no credit cards accepted) or drop off form with cash payment. Details are on the form.

Salute to Creative Aging
Location: Colorado Convention Center

Plan to attend the 2018 Salute to Creative Aging. The event is on Saturday May 12, 2018 from 9AM to 3:30PM in the Mile High Ballroom at the Colorado Convention Center. Plan to attend and learn more about resources, services and Tech Trek. This is a tech themed event for older adults.

8th Annual Jefferson County Senior Law Day
Location: Jefferson County Administration Building

24 Break-Out Sessions on topics such as: Avoiding Investment Fraud, Estate Planning, Power-of-Attorney, Gun Safety and Regulations, Code Enforcement Laws, Fire & Fall Prevention, Medicare/Medicaid, Probate, Advanced Directives, ID Theft Prevention and more. Registration fee is $10 and provides Continental breakfast, Mid-morning snack, Box lunch, Ask-An-Attorney—15 minute free sit-down with an attorney and a copy of the 2018 Colorado Senior Law Handbook. The Center provides information on health and medical service, medical insurance, transportation, food and nutrition, in-home care services and will assist citizens in finding any other aging well information they seek. The Library maintains a website that lists all of the resources that can be found at the Bemis Public Library.
